gepc friends connection a.k.a mooncake festival

it is the first time i joined their performance in church...hehe, seriously, it was hilarious....
basically, the story is about the queen of the land far far away looking for the perfect husband who is handsome, rich and talented for her beautiful princess gaga. with the help of her personal secretary megan fork(that's me), we have our last 3 finalist: the richest man on earth, bill chua ( invented i-microwave with all sorts of functions including taking photos and sending emails yet could not heat up food and he is still working on it). 2nd candidate, milo jackson the king of pork and lastly, the simple and nerdy bak kut teh who is very "good" in maths(secretly admired by megan fork).then, bill chua demonstrated his arcade skills and lost to abuget(the country's 9 time winner of arcade games), milo jackson dance his signature movement and sang without mic and got kicked out, and bak kut teh counting maths using people(apples to him).in the end bill chua won for his flowery language, yet he found out that princess gaga is actually an extremely ugly and crazy girl so he quickly told everyone that he already has a girlfriend, miki cheong the prettiest girl on facebook. the queen then ask bak kut teh to marry the princess and as to keep his promise, he agreed. before bak kut teh kiss the princess, the real princess who is the maid stopped him and revealed the truth. the queen wanted to test the candidates to see who is truly sincere to love the princess. ( bill chua tried to convince the princess but was rejected and he was left with two "gorgeous" miki and yu fa)from the left: milo jackson, yufa a.k.a fake princess gaga, bill chua, miki cheong and bak kut teh

battle of the night

sometimes, i amazed myself.
the night before i was in the danger of a mental breakdown. same old story on the last night of holiday before college starts, i would be in deep poo.(i know there is no excuse for doing things last minute but people, i am human and i really do need holiday)
like what ah hoay says, we need pressure to motivate us. well, to a certain extent yep but still it is not solely because of this. Pressure is inevitable in college, especially if you are an A-level student and just having one almost inhuman lecturer would mean that you are doomed to be holiday-less.
i mean, the assignments require mental preparation and lots of mental input. if your mind is still dehydrated, there is no way it can get started. the outcome would be zero or a piece of worse than junk junk.
so, it so happens that when you are being pushed to the edge, you have no better choice but to dig into those brain of yours and try pull out some output.
thus, you cry and whine and sob and sniff and you slowly gather your thoughts.
you aren't exactly focused as you are already physically, mentally and emotionally drained.(at least I'll never ever be spiritually drained..hehe)
anyway, you would slowly lost track of time, as more brain juice is being squeezed, you would realized there will always be an astonishing leap in time from the last time you look at the clock till the next time. and of course not to say impressed by your volume of brain juice.(wow, and i said it was dried and fried) apparently, God gave us a marvelous brain which perform "miracles".
many things are made possible and enemies such as miss sleepiness and mister dizziness won't be knocking on your door.
basically you will turn into a machine with one and only one mission to be accomplished.
finally, your battle is over, yup, you have nothing left, you are now literally dried.
the next day, you would wake up and say woah! is that really me yesterday night?
yes, and you will be proud that you are the conqueror of the night. though only you yourself recognizes your achievements but seriously, you will feel so touched that you might wanna cry.
"yes baby, the victory is ours...all hail mighty brain!"

a twist

glad to say,not a sinister twist.yet, not a desirable one either.
so what should i say?
well, i guess it just means that i've really reach another peak.
im content with it too, i mean, you can see into the horizon when you are on top of the mountain.
though now you realise how unsignificant you are, at least you are nearer to touch the sky.
waiting for you to climb the mountain too, we shall reach the stars one day.
just remember, everything's worth it.
everything.
even this twist which put a twisted smile on your face.

princess

It is really God’s blessing that I manage to find this particular book which I sincerely believe is not by coincidence I came across it. It all began with me stepping into borders randomly just to take a look at random books, and then I happened to walk to the religion section and happened to take a glance at the books on the bookshelf. At first this book with ballet shoes attracted me. I immediately thought of her and took a look at the book.
Just then this amazing idea came to me, I’ve actually thought of it not long ago, to get something spiritually inspirational for her. So I started picking up books with suggesting titles. In my heart I had a quick prayer hoping God would help me to get the right book with the right price (FYI I’m not that wealthy and Borders tend to sell expensive but thin books) I found a few which are not bad in context but not too appealing in price, the ballerina book is a good choice as she learns ballet and the story is about this girl who had some disease preventing her from dancing anymore but of course God’s great love miraculously cured her. Even I myself was interested to read that book yet somehow something told me it isn’t what I am looking for.
As I was wondering what to do, I happened to bend down and then this book straight away caught my attention. I was really excited and gave a squeal of delight. “This is IT!!!!” I told Mr. Awesome. Indeed, after reading a few pages and looking at the price, I had this broad smiled on my face. God really answered my prayer.
The book’s called “Keeping a princess heart”
Gosh, it is so meant to be hers!!! I mean, she is always our princess, and I know she loves being a princess. The small add on to the title further confirmed my choice—“in a not so fairy tale-like life”, yup, that’s exactly what my princess is living in. I was so thrilled as if I discovered treasure. Yes, it is the treasure for princess! That’s what she needs!! It’s just perfect!!!
Eventually I bought the book and planned to give this to her with San. And, as God had planned out for us, San gave me a ride home so she could leave her message in the book. After reaching home, my hands got itchy and I started to scribble both our messages with colours of the rainbow. Not to forget, my Felicia-style picture of our darling princess. I even wrapped it up with the happy birthday wrapping paper which is san’s birthday’s leftover. Haha. Anyway I asked my mum to drop this gift at princess’s castle’s guardhouse.
At about twelve, I received one of the best sms ever. Princess got our gift and it seemed to cheer her up a lot. Well, one of the happiest things on earth is when you brighten up your love one’s day. I can’t really explain how it’s like but it was really wonderful for me. I just can’t help but thank God for His guidance and power to heal. I mean, 2 weeks ago we were still in such a terrible fight till it seemed as if all hope’s gone, but God in His ways helped us to solve it and now here we are. Anyway, I really do love my princess and I’m glad I can do the least for her. I never get to experience the joy of having a sister but God gave me two non-biological sisters who meant the world to me. Yes, I’m really grateful to Him, for working in us, teaching us love, to love ourselves and each other. I also a princess because she is a princess and I am her sister, San the same too.
We are forever God’s princesses.
