It is really God’s blessing that I manage to find this particular book which I sincerely believe is not by coincidence I came across it. It all began with me stepping into borders randomly just to take a look at random books, and then I happened to walk to the religion section and happened to take a glance at the books on the bookshelf. At first this book with ballet shoes attracted me. I immediately thought of her and took a look at the book.
Just then this amazing idea came to me, I’ve actually thought of it not long ago, to get something spiritually inspirational for her. So I started picking up books with suggesting titles. In my heart I had a quick prayer hoping God would help me to get the right book with the right price (FYI I’m not that wealthy and Borders tend to sell expensive but thin books) I found a few which are not bad in context but not too appealing in price, the ballerina book is a good choice as she learns ballet and the story is about this girl who had some disease preventing her from dancing anymore but of course God’s great love miraculously cured her. Even I myself was interested to read that book yet somehow something told me it isn’t what I am looking for.
As I was wondering what to do, I happened to bend down and then this book straight away caught my attention. I was really excited and gave a squeal of delight. “This is IT!!!!” I told Mr. Awesome. Indeed, after reading a few pages and looking at the price, I had this broad smiled on my face. God really answered my prayer.
The book’s called “Keeping a princess heart”
Gosh, it is so meant to be hers!!! I mean, she is always our princess, and I know she loves being a princess. The small add on to the title further confirmed my choice—“in a not so fairy tale-like life”, yup, that’s exactly what my princess is living in. I was so thrilled as if I discovered treasure. Yes, it is the treasure for princess! That’s what she needs!! It’s just perfect!!!
Eventually I bought the book and planned to give this to her with San. And, as God had planned out for us, San gave me a ride home so she could leave her message in the book. After reaching home, my hands got itchy and I started to scribble both our messages with colours of the rainbow. Not to forget, my Felicia-style picture of our darling princess. I even wrapped it up with the happy birthday wrapping paper which is san’s birthday’s leftover. Haha. Anyway I asked my mum to drop this gift at princess’s castle’s guardhouse.
At about twelve, I received one of the best sms ever. Princess got our gift and it seemed to cheer her up a lot. Well, one of the happiest things on earth is when you brighten up your love one’s day. I can’t really explain how it’s like but it was really wonderful for me. I just can’t help but thank God for His guidance and power to heal. I mean, 2 weeks ago we were still in such a terrible fight till it seemed as if all hope’s gone, but God in His ways helped us to solve it and now here we are. Anyway, I really do love my princess and I’m glad I can do the least for her. I never get to experience the joy of having a sister but God gave me two non-biological sisters who meant the world to me. Yes, I’m really grateful to Him, for working in us, teaching us love, to love ourselves and each other. I also a princess because she is a princess and I am her sister, San the same too.
We are forever God’s princesses.
