well,i never heard of twilight until i watched it last year…which is also a random choice(ohh,a vampire love story eh…well should be kinda interesting.so lets go watch it)
i never fall for the handsome dudes in the movie(in fact it was after i repeated watching twilight a few times that i realised robert Pattinson is kinda hot, i was more attracted to the girls especially ashley greene as alice while watching)erm, perhaps for new moon i am more aware of the 2 hotties.
however,i fell for the atmosphere when i first watched twilight.i was totally absorbed as in i felt being surrounded by darkness.almost helplessness..when bella realised james would harm charlie and she had to leave.its the feeling of why the world is so?why is everything so messed up and impossible…darkness lingered.
ahha..it is the atmosphere of twilight which make me a “fan”.nevertheless.i would agree to a certain extent with nats opinion—it is mere entertainment.
still,i would say it is quite the successful as a modern day teen novel.i mean, who wouldn’t go crazy(especially young ladies who are mostly more than willing to be filled with the romantic idea of gothic love and bla bla).since stephanie’s target audiences are teenagers.its undeniably captivating.
its a new evolution for vampires and werewolves…wuhhoo..the world is more optimistic and full of wonderful possibilities…vampires are all gorgeous creatures, some with supernatural power and some are actually GOOD in nature while werewolves are all half-naked hotties and loyal to their family, tribe and of course loved ones.
but then, the author managed to be realistic…they are still creatures of the dark after all and there are dark sides…the volturi and non-vegetarian vampires.
haha…
so what i did was finish reading all books in the fastest speed(obsession!!!)
okay,i have to say i love them.but there are reasons to it.i am well aware of its incapability to compare with true literature but i shall not lie that it really did capture my heart
as i have stated,i am totally mesmerised by the story because of the atmosphere.i love the feeling of woods, light shimmering through leaves…humidity…tall trees…earth colours…speed…darkness…bleakness…fear…imagination…music…love…
in fact…new moon..the book which clearly proves that it is just a childish romance with a twist after all.is one book which made me cry through almost half of it.feelings.
i am not sure if stephanie gone through such a situation as in the book, but i can totally relate to it,no matter through who’s perspective.bella, edward or jacob.that’s why i cried.what the!!!!its like reading through my own experience in bits and pieces(oh..so this is how my feeling is like in written form, which i failed to write down as i had difficulty in explaining myself>.<)
i know it is silly to people with a “higher taste” for literature.edward leaves(pooh!drama)bella in depression(yawn…stupid girl)jacob comes into the picture(irritating…so the cliché love story scenario)bella & jacob(bella so slutty,as aaron complained)bella saves edward(finally!some action)jacob heartbroken(team jacob screams)edward back to bella’s life(haih.predictable)etc.
but wait a minute.for people who had gone through love.and i mean love.you can totally empathize with bella.the chapters of her suffering are so real and essential for the plot development.and a very reasonable reason for her later complicated relationship with jacob.and.it is so the easy to understand the inevitable fact of jacob’s heartbreak.she is NOT a slut.neither should edward be blamed.love is all about confussion, hardship and pain.thus.the team edward or jacob thingy never applies to me.both are equally charming characters
after watching new moon,i could not wait to read the book,i straightaway started eclipse.i have to know the development.
after reading only i knew that it was said to be the best book among all 4 because there is real action.
actually,i was sort of impatient reading it.haha.cause,i just wana read bella’s transformation.thus, slightly annoyed when she did not in the end.haha.
in this book i find bella really cuckoo.haha.she is a fascinating person to start with but she is plain silly.she comes up with all sorts of stupid ideas in her head(wanting to have sex with edward. edward saying “can you please stop trying to take off your clothes” to bella is stuck in my head forever as it is super hilarious)
but i kind of enjoy the werewolf insights given in the book.the werewolves are sort of emphasized in the book and i find their extraordinary bonding and “telepathy” cool
although i do feel uncomfortable with the fact that stephanie purposely make the werewolves and vampires cooperate.i mean, haih.why all stories tend to be so optimistic regarding conflicts.still,it is happy to see them doing so.
then, coming to the final book breaking dawn.it received complains of it being too draggy.thus i was prepared for that.surprisingly, though it is really draggy,i still enjoyed it.
i like the change of perspective.although i think that jacob’s perspective is not as convincing for me cause i expect differently of jacob.it seemed too gloomy and aggressive.anyway.i respect the creator of jacob.stephanie knows her creations best.:)
oh yes, this is the last reason.because of stephanie mayer.it was after reading her official website that i came to this conclusion.
i am a creator of imaginative stories too.i totally understand and appreciate her effort in creating the twilight saga(i mean anyone would see that).im in fact very impressed with the way she deals with her story.her inspiration, explanations and stuff.
for breaking dawn.i finally understood the cover.the chess and the queen piece.nice one!
and i am satisfied with her explanation for no real fight.before this i was disappointed when there was no fight.i was comparing it to the lord of the rings.how come no final battle.sucks.is it because the author dare not to write such a scene.now.i understood the author’s intention.
i simply love the family bond in this book.between bella and her baby.reneesmee with others.okay.i love babies and little children.it is so heart warming to read about it.reneemee’s psychic ability is also written well.stephanie put an effort to make us all fall for this little girl even though we never get to touch her.haha.(happy for jacob,he deserves someone like reneesmee..buahaha)and the baby and the others.i am so the emotional animal that i usually get overwhelmed with human relationships…
and of course,as a fantasy fan.i love bella’s change into a vampire.thats why i welcome the twist in all these dark creatures started by stephanie.i m in fact pleased to believe in ravishing looking, graceful, sparkling, kind hearted and talented vampires/courageous,playful,loyal,macho,and tightly mentally bonded werewolves.
i think the two movies do contribute to me liking the twilight saga.the characters aided me in imagining the story.and im open to surprises to see how far my imagination differ from the coming movies.
but i do think the cast suit their character in the book.
kristen is not too pretty for bella.she is fine.you know there are many girls who think they are just average looking but actually they aren’t.
and i think bella is this kind of girl too.btw.kristen has bella’s appearance, pale, gothic looking, cool, unique.and people
bear in mind she has to transform into a real beauty in breaking dawn.so kristen is perfect.
and whats more to say for taylor and robert.their looks are perfect.robert is as promisingly dark and handsome and mystical
while taylor is simply cute.impressed with his efforts to make himself the best for jacob
oh yeah,k and r look perfect as a couple:)
ashley a.k.a alice.i fav character till now:)
i adore her as short spiky hair alice but she is really pretty with long hair too
jasper.which i find very very amusingly adorable in the movie
and in real life as well..
and also my favourite carlisle.he is soo the prince charming candidate in blonde
but in real like.he is hot and kinda wild looking
well,i might as well go through the other cullens.
she is more or like the same in real life but of course.without the sense of gothicness.
emmett
he stills looks boyishly nice to me.haha
rosalie
i used to think she isn’t beautiful enough but now only i realised nikki is really gorgeous.no wonder she got the role for the prettiest vampire
and also.i have the cast for the volturi interesting.they give me the creeps!!!success.thus i prefer them in real life=.=
aro is eerie only when he starts to speak
still prefer a real life him
cauis is the most freaky pretty vampire…eerie
see,so much friendlier and humanly in real life.
i know marcus is also creepy but he has that villain look so not that bad haha
wana include all others.but..nevermind.haha.too many!!!
i know its a long review but seriously, the official posters are superb.
especially the cullens.simply awesome
hehe, found these random photograph of the cast.sweet
new moon.official poster much improved.
i have to say.i enjoyed the movies.sorry folks.i find it not boring.not stupid.not corny.at all
why.same reason as for why i love the books.atmosphere.complications.relationships.
:)
i’m a twi fan afterall.maybe because i’m still open to the world of pure imagination and feelings.
p.s.greatest mystery.how would reneesmee look like, found some fan made pictures.they are really good.i mean the girls are all so beautiful…
i really like this girl,no matter what her name is,i think she looks immortal.i mean she has that impression of being child like but mysterious and strange at the same time.
this is the 1st pic i came across.really perfect for a younger reneesme
i was thinking this lil actress suits the character too.if the director wants an experienced actress.
gosh.really look forward to the mystery revealed.
they even have this online.cool!!!
so i guess that’s all for my twi madness.
